Ok, so I've been back from Alaska for a bit over a month. For those of you who don't know, fish processing sucks. I was spending 20 hours a day standing in the same spot, getting blasted with freezing water, fish guts, and ice, up to my ankles in freezing water and fish bits, and frequently having to stick my hands into a machine with a bunch blades designed to cut through bone spinning at a few thousand rpm. When that wasn't happening, I was helping fix the machine or trying frantically to grease and oil it before the line got back from break. But it's not all bad, food and housing were free, though I didn't have much time for either, and I made a fair bit over the summer.

Other stuff: last week I was at Kumoricon dressed like an idiot, I recently made contact with a friend I haven't seen or heard from in about 10 years (discovering that she's no longer a lesbian), I've acquired a few new swords, and I'm trying to get a job doing security.

It looks like college is gonna have to wait for another year when I see my bank account though...
